Devil Sold His Soul

Devil Sold His Soul Announce New Bassist!

At the end of 2010, we parted ways with our bassist (and brother), Iain Trotter. Iain has decided that he wants to pursue a career outside of music and although he loved being a part of Devil Sold His Soul (he was with us from the start), he felt that this was the right time to bow out gracefully and follow a new path in his life.


Iain says, "Sadly I have left the boys in order to go and do other geeky career things. I still love everything about the band and everyone involved with it but felt it was a good time to bow out and go and do something different. They are now in the capable hands of our wonderfully hairy friend Jozef and are primed to make 2011 their biggest year yet, starting tomorrow! I hope this next chapter is even more successful and fun than those that I shared with them. x"

Having been with us from the start, Iain has been a huge part of this band and everything we've ever recorded to date and without him we wouldn't have gotten to where we are today. We know that it wasn't an easy decision for him to make and although we are upset to see him go, we really respect his decision and wish him the very best for the future. We'd like to say THANK YOU IAIN, we'll miss you Rumble!

But, as we all know, with every ending there is a new beginning, and we are extremely happy to announce that we have a new bassist. Jozef Norocky (formerly of the band - Rinoa) has become our new permanent bassist and we couldn't be happier to welcome him into the DSHS family.

We've known Jozef for ages and it seems that the timing was right for him to come into the band. He shares the same musical outlook and ambitions and, flatteringly for us, he is a fan of the band and the music. We can't wait to start writing the next chapter of Devil Sold His Soul with him on board. We promise it is going to be very special indeed...

So, come and welcome Jozef into the band on our UK headline tour that starts Jan 27th - Feb 19th. We'll be waiting for you!

Tour Supports announced for Jan/Feb Headline Tour!!

Okay, so we're extremely happy to announce that we will be joined on the road by 2 awesome upcoming British bands in January.

For the first run of dates, we will be joined by Heights from Welwyn Garden City (http://www.facebook.com/weareheights). Heights are a five-piece band hailing from Hertfordshire in the United Kingdom, playing their own brand of metal and hardcore with epic overtones.

We will then be joined by Feed The Rhino from Kent. (http://www.facebook.com/pages/Feed-the-Rhino/235233460457). Fresh from supporting Gallows, Feed the Rhino blend huge riffs with raw passionate vocals. From the south of england Feed the Rhino have been leaving an impact mainly down to their explosive live shows. Pure Hardcore rock and roll to the max.

We're really happy to have these bands come on the road with us and we know that these shows are going to be an awesome showcase of UK music - so get your ticket and come down and be a part of it!

DEVIL SOLD HIS SOUL sign to CENTURY MEDIA RECORDS

DEVIL SOLD HIS SOUL sign to Century Media worldwide
- One off London headline show December 10th
- Album due early 2010

"UK 6 piece DEVIL SOLD HIS SOUL can now announce they have signed a worldwide deal with the amazing Century Media record label (Lacuna Coil, God Forbid, Suicide Silence, Architects, Arch Enemy), and will see their first album released in all territories early 2010. The record is now being completed by the band, and there will be more news on the album, track listings, special guests soon.

DSHS will be touring across Europe in November and playing a special one off show in London on December the 10th, at the Upstairs of the Relentless Garage, as a way of both celebrating the completion of their album, but also the Century Media deal. Look out for more UK and European support tours throughout the start of 2010, as well as a headline tour March/April 2010."

We are extremely happy to announce our signing to CENTURY MEDIA. We hope this is going to be the start of something truly special and are really looking forward to working with the awesome people at Century and can't wait to see where it takes us. We have to thank everyone who has showed us support over the last few years - be it coming to a show, buying a CD or showing love in general - for helping us get to this point. And most of all to our close friends and family for putting up with us and helping us out (a lot!) along the way. Thank you all - this is only just the beginning...

So, with all the soppy stuff out of the way, you might ask whats next? Well, basically we're wrapping up this new album and can't wait to get it out for you all to hear - we'll have news of titles and artwork in the coming weeks, so keep posted. In the meantime we've got a few shows as well as a very intimate London show to celebrate this amazing news.

December 10th will be a party and you're all invited (well the first to get tickets are at least) so come down and help us celebrate and be the first to hear some of our new tracks from our forthcoming album as well as some old tracks too - its gonna be sick (see below for the awesome line-up!).

The end of the tunnel!

After a long process of ball busting we're coming towards the end of the recording process, A small amount of vocals are left to finish and a few bits and pieces to finish up! We should be done very soon! I'll post an update when all is done and dusted. Already really happy with how everything is sounding, we literally cannot wait for everyone to hear this!

another day in the studio, more screams, another song down! Jurassic Park! Haven't been this happy with recording screams for a long time, maybe even ever! Kiss my face.

Today I moved onto screams, the vast majority of singing has been dealt with and it's time to move onto the badass. YEAAAAAHHHHHHH BOOOIIII. Today I got a little bit of singing done, and put the screams on the first track, which means that 1 track is finished vocally, and it feels good! Now I'm back at home kicking it on the sofa watching tele, later I'm going to make a chicken lasagna and it is going to taste incredible. Screams for track 2 tomorrow.
